So you may have invented something that will be a great help to people’s lives. One of the methods of marketing your product is to set up a sales booth. Unfortunately, people usually avoid sales booth to avoid the ‘pesky’ salesperson. However, if you set up your booth properly, you will find yourself your first customer in no time.
1. Less words, more images!
Whether you are a kid or an adult, seeing too many words can become very uninteresting. Hence, it is best to avoid this sort of advertising, even if you are promoting a book. Images, on the other hand, are much more visually stimulating, and a wise use of color combinations will pull their interest deeper. Avoid dull colors so that people do not have misconceptions that they are in for some cheap, boring product. Plus, when people are out shopping, a picture can catch a person’s attention quicker than words, and can relay it the meaning faster as well.
2. Promotional girls
No matter how simple or masculine your product may be, one thing that has been an undeniably good way of attracting attention is the sex appeal. Having promotional girls to promote your product is more likely to get some interest than none at all. They do not need to be scantily-clad; as long as they have a sweet and honest face, it would work. Of course, they should wear something decent or interesting that represents the product. People are more daring to feed their curiosity over the product when the promotional girls appear approachable.
3. Strategic location
Even if you have a beautifully decorated booth, and you have helpers that are attractive and charismatic, if your booth is located in a secluded area, the probability of you getting any curious customers becomes much less. Before choosing a location, you should always survey the area for traffic and accessibility. Setting a booth at an area with high traffic and accessibility increases the chances of having a curious onlooker in which you can promote your products to.
4. Free gifts
Everyone loves getting free items, even if it is something as simple as a pen. The idea is that they do not need to pay for it. However, distributing free gifts work best when customers do not need to spend too much time on the booth, unless it is a really expensive prize. Make it so that the requirements to get the gift is simple enough to understand, and in the meantime, bring in the product details in as little words as you can, using minimal words to describe a whole lot of things.
